Good food, nice people, good air and lots of sun, what more do you need. Will be back soon ?
Food very tasty! 1 star deduction because it took a bit long to finish. Otherwise with pleasure again! Price / performance ratio top!
Cozy location with good food. Don't go wrong. Service friendly.
Manageable but good menu with hearty Bavarian dishes, food at a low price, good portions, short waiting times, nice owner / service = absolutely recommendable !!!!
I had the liver cheese with fried egg and fried potatoes and my friend had the roast pork with fried potatoes and sauerkraut. I was very happy and my friend was even more than happy with the food. For him the best roast he has ever eaten. The fried potatoes were rather soft, which I prefer anyway. The service was very friendly. 1 star deduction, because the seating in the back room was rather unappealing (sitting outside is not possible because of the rain). But if you like a small card with very good home-made food, you should pay a visit. :)
One star is one too many! If you want to drink beer and schnapps, this is the place for you. Everything else is not at all (fried potatoes that were not fried, etc.) Cola without brand name on the menu on request it was called Coca-Cola I got Pepsi! The service should know what is being served!
We were there at noon. The kitchen only opens at 5 p.m., despite asking where to order food (self-service), no indication of this, just a reference to the chef who should come to the place. Nobody ever came. Dealing with guests rude. Pity!
Discovered by accident on a hike. Great hosts, delicious food. Worth every euro.
A very sincere place, in the Bavarian style, mainly for local residents, tasty beer, excellent location - by the river, there is a real stove, friendly hosts.
A great and quaint restaurant, the 2 operators pithy types, always in a good mood and ready for any fun. The food, fantastic, if only a small card! A must, for every walker, delicious beer and schnapps. The Achenstüberl is just great!
Nice service and nice ambience. We ate at the prices nothing especially just a cafe and a tea to warm up drunk. The food we saw looked very good and made us hungry, but with the prices we lost it again.
Nice little restaurant. Food was great and plentiful. Have a nice evening spent there.
Cozy, Bavarian beer garden with appropriately rustic Stammtischlern, which in their way, their opinion announces. Quite nice attentive service, gigantic guade Schnitzl and well-kept beer. Will come back for sure.
I do not understand with the best of intentions how these recessions came about / came! After we actually planned to eat, we looked for a biker (or a sprite with a shot of beer) and about 40 minutes, the distance. According to signs there is "from 17 o'clock kitchen". We were there at 16.50 and since we were not offered a ticket, we ordered only something to drink. Incidentally, the same happened at the two other tables visited. Many regulars who drank one beer after another and talked to the waiters and smoked, seemed to like it. Unfortunately we were not served and after 40 minutes we went, like another 10 people, split into 2 tables also. You probably do not have cards here, or you have to ask effectively if you should eat something. We went on instead and ate elsewhere. The location is at best a nice pub for two, three beers or even four beers. The order of the cyclist, however, went very quickly and friendly, so at least 1 star.
Quaint pub, delicious inexpensive food, and the boss Willi a veteran from Saarland very nice and always a saying in stock, you should definitely visit. By the way, the pub is now called Achenstüberl
Great welcome, lovely food, a little off the beaten track. A very nice traditional pub not overrun by tourists
The selection of food is manageable, but there was nothing to complain about the price performance. Negative mention must in our case only the long wait ... We sat for almost 20 minutes without notice in the beer garden ... This can also have the fully occupied house. Nevertheless, annoying just after a long hiking day.
So must be a rustic and cozy restaurant! Delicious food, big portions, fair prices, superclass service from people with heart! Solid ambience - no indication! Who expects Schickimicki - must go somewhere else! I look forward to the next visit!
Super delicious food at low prices. Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. Everything fits and we will definitely be back!
Great food. Very friendly and sympathetic service.
Very good roast pork, nice atmosphere
Surroundings are not so appealing, but food is really great and big portions, also prices are very reasonable for the size and taste. Food is basic german style, but don't expect any fancy.
Delicious food, giant portions, good beer.
Walked in at night. Old man bar tender gives us a dirty look and says “Gibt kein Platz hier.” (There’s no more room.) Yes, it was crowded. Would he have said that to a local? No. Goodbye ?
Quaint restaurant with very tasty food and greetings portions. Hot food after 2pm was not a problem (elsewhere we were sent away at 1.30pm as they did not want to turn the kitchen on anymore, although running until 2pm). We will definitely come back. The service was very nice.
Lovely little Bavarian pub, excellent food and beer, I can recommend it
I have been coming here for years now on my trips to the area. I love this place! It is like an English Pub or Scottish Bar of years ago in that people go there (mainly, though not exclusively,) men to drink, smoke (outside now) and have a chat and a laugh. Some evenings the place becomes very merry indeed. I speak German but can hardly ever understand the locals! Fortunatley Willi is from the Rheinland! If you are looking for a nice, cultural, evening, then probably not quite the place for you!
